Pittsburgh's Northside is a hidden gem of a photo location with a lot of unknown spots for great photos! Of course, the most well-known photo location is the North Shore by PNC Park. It is one of the most popular locations for the iconic photos with the yellow bridges that seniors love.

In and around the North Shore photo opportunities abound with the river walk, water steps and both Heinz Field and PNC Park.

Further away from the water in the true Northside of Pittsburgh are some of my favorite tucked away locations for really unique photos! If you love color, Randyland is a must-see. Within walking distance of Randyland, you'll find the City of Asylum house hand-painted with Japanese letters, brick streets, & picturesque row houses.

A recent stroll around the area caused me to stumble on one of my favorite little spots - the City of Asylum Alphabet Reading Garden. This gorgeous green space in the middle of the city has it all - decorative metal gates, brick walls, benches, and flower-lined walkways. If you want a little bit of greenery in your urban images this provides the perfect combo!
